Chicago 2016


Leading User Experience and Social Media efforts for Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics.  This is my main day to day client, and I am involved heavily in all efforts.

Conducted a conversational audit of the social media space for SoyJoy.
 

Oscar Mayer


Led User Experience efforts for a variety of projects for Oscar mayer, including a competitive audit, project managing game development for Lunchables, and concepting a blog/twitter/google maps mashup for Wienermobile.
 

American Medical Association


Led the research and UX for 3 projects for the American Medical Association, a redesign of their corporate site, an online learning tool, and helping the AMA develop a new revenue model and extranet.

Led the research and IA for a redesign of LinensNThings.com.

Led the research and IA for a redesign of Ashford.com.
 

Bluefly.com


Led the research on a project trying to win the redesign of bluefly.com, a discount high-end online apparel retailer.

Led the research of a redesign of HBO's online store.
 

Intralinks


Conducted a series of usability studies for Intralinks, a online financial services product for investment bankers.
 

J&R Electronics


Led the research on a project trying to win the redesign of jandr.com, a large online consumer electronics retailer.
 

National Association of Realtors


Consulted on several projects on Realtor.org, including content strategy, content audits, bi-monthly usability testing,  and the redesign of several areas of the site.

Led the research phase of a redesign of Radioshack.com.
 

Restaurant.com


Led the design and IA for several areas of Restaurant.com, including landing pages, homepage redesign, and the redesign of the checkout process.

Led the development of a prototype of a seat-based, flash-based kiosk for a startup.  Conducted user research, IA, and managed the design and development team to produce a fully functional product to show investors.

Led research and IA disciplines for a number of projects to improve The Great Escape's online presence.

Led research and IA work on the redesign of Timberland's online store.
 

Palm


Conducted usability studies for Palm.com, testing different versions of how to sell accessories, as well as card sorting to better understand how consumers expect accessories to be organized and classified.
 

Polo/Ralph Lauren


Led research and IA for the redesign of Polo.com.
 

CBS Sportsline


Lead the research of incorporating MVP.com into the CBS Sportsline umbrella brand of websites.
 

Major League Baseball


Led user research and IA work on the redesign of MLB.com's online store.
 

LA Times


Conducted a series of usability studies for the LA Times Calendarlive product as well as Travel section of LA Times.com.  Managed studies, including recruiting, analysis, and moderation.
 

Irwin Mortgage


Lead the redesign of 3 mortgage sites for Irwin, including their consumer, broker, and correspondent websites.  Acted as lead research, IA, and also was the liaison between the business side and the development team. 
 

Ace Hardware


Ace Hardware, America's Helpful Hardware Center, came to GSI to outsouce their e-commerce site.  I lead upfrount user research, information architecture, as well as worked with the Art Director to insure the project's strategy was met by the UI.
 

People To People


People to People is a student travel organization founded by President Dwight Eisenhower, with the mission to promote peace and understanding. 

I led a team creating an online travel journal for students to upload photos and their journals once they return from their overseas trip.  I led the project, as well as was the strategy lead, IA, and art director.
 

ULTA Cosmetics


Usability review for ULTA.com, looking for user experience fixes and increasing conversion.
 

Liz Claiborne


Led the redesign of the LizCliaborne.com, a leading online apparel retailer. Conducted user research, as well as developed wireframes, and managed an outside design firm. (Blast Radius)
 

PBS


Led the redesign of the PBS online store, including research, information architecture, and creative/strategic direction.
 

GlaxoSmithKline


International Ethnographic research study on finding information in the workplace for large multi-national pharmaceutical corporation.  Goals project was to decrease the use of seven different search tools into one common search tool, that is customized based on a user's role.

Usability testing & site evaluation for upcoming redesign, as well as a Heuristic Evaluation for their B2B site, Reliable Office Supplies.

Redesign of leading mortgage lender ratings and review site.
 

Lays


Concepts for two upcoming Lays marketing campaigns. Acted as client contact and project management, information architect, as well as art director.

Online security portal for the nations largest Cable Internet, TV and Voice provider.
 

Comcast Unified Communication Center


Usability testing of the redesign of Comcast's web-based email which incorporates both Email and Digital Voice.

Restaurant.com - Vision Project


To help Restaurant.com develop the vision for their next site upgrade, I was asked to look at their business model, as well as the competitive landscape and develop a vision document of how their site might look with an upcoming redesign.  I incorporated web2.0 effects and user generated content when appropriate to help enhance the overall customer experience.
 

Pepsico/Tava


To help launch a new energy drink, I developed concepts for a social networking web 2.0 application to match the product's strategy. I also art directed the concept to comp phase.
